The Refuge Center has outgrown its walls and the demand for services is at an all-time high. It is imperative The Refuge Center builds a larger permanent home.
Through generous partnerships, The Refuge Center seeks to raise $3.7 by 2024 in first ever Capital Campaign "Building Refuge." $4.5M has already been raised.
We believe growth is not always just about "more" and "bigger" but is also about deeper and richer. Because of this, The Refuge Center facility and campus will be a holistic facility that is a physical manifestation of our culture of compassionate care.
The vision:
We own (debt free!) 7 acres of wooded land near the I-65 corridor with room to build a 15,000 square foot lodge-like facility. This facility would feature relaxing spaces for processing clinical activities such as walking trails, a chapel, a healing garden, and a playground, and a labyrinth. There would be separate waiting spaces for children to play and adults to find solitude or connection before or after sessions. A large multi-purpose room would be used for events, seminars, and group counseling work along with opportunities for the community to come together in the space.
The Result?
37 therapy offices serving over 41,000 counseling sessions for up to 4,700 clients a year, with double the amount of space to serve children and teens.Imagine the impact of that many changed lives in Middle Tennessee!
